The Decision Project

The Decision Project is all about empowering people to make an educated and inspired decision about organ, eye, and tissue donation and then share that decision with their family.

The Decision Project is a grassroots approach to work directly with underserved groups, individuals, and socially disadvantaged residents to:

  • Educate and answer questions about the need for more donors
  • Ensure trust of the entire donation process
  • Dispel any misconceptions about donation

Additionally, this campaign seeks to increase outreach and sponsorship efforts to support the communities we serve. Areas of concentration for The Decision Project are West Greenville, East Winston-Salem, and Raleigh (27610, 27601, 27604).

Using Maryland’s model for The Decision Project, and partnering with our state team, Donate Life North Carolina; we are providing outreach and education by hosting, sponsoring, and/or participating in numerous community events throughout the year, such as:

•    Linking Hands – National Donate Life Month
•    National Donor Sabbath Services
•    Community Food Drives
•    Barber Shops and Beauty Salons Initiative
•    Community Events/Festivals
