For the third consecutive year, HonorBridge was selected as one of Business North Carolina’s Best Employers in NC. HonorBridge is North Carolina’s largest organ donation and tissue recovery organization with offices in Greenville, Winston-Salem, and a newly opened donor care center in Chapel Hill. It is the bridge between the people who need transplants and the donors who make those transplants possible.

“We are very proud of this accomplishment,” said Danielle Bumarch, JD, RN, President & CEO, HonorBridge. “The valuable feedback provided by this survey and award in the past have helped us to focus on our workforce culture, and it is helping us become an even better employer. We believe in a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce that is respectful and committed to making the act of organ and tissue donation a meaningful one.”

“Our work is not easy. At times, it is difficult. Yet, every day our staff comes to work knowing we are saving lives and honoring the donors’ and their families’ decisions. Our staff register North Carolinians as donors, talk with families about donation during heartbreaking times, facilitate the recovery of organs and tissues, and provide on-gong support to grieving family members. Many more of our staff support the organization ‘behind the scenes’ ensuring we all can continue to heal and save lives every day,” Bumarch concluded.

The Best Employers in North Carolina is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the area’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback and featured in Business North Carolina magazine. Employees and their employers are polled on dozens of topics, from recruiting practices to recognition programs.
