Kimberly Koontz, MPH, CTBS

President & CEO

Kimberly Koontz’s career in donation began at the North Carolina Eye Bank, now Precision Ocular Network, where she served as Communications Center Director. In 2004, she came to HonorBridge as a tissue recovery coordinator and has dedicated more than 20 years to the organization. Over that time, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including call center manager and director of tissue services, before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2017, a position she held for nine years before being named President & CEO in 2026.

A proud North Carolina native, Kim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She lives in Winston-Salem with her husband and two children.
