In memory of Ben DeRose. The upper left logo is the high school he attended, Sanderson High School in Raleigh, NC. He excelled in academics as well as being a leader and an excellent wrestler.
Ben was pursuing a degree in Microbiology at NC State. He received his degree posthumously.
While at NC State, Ben was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and mentored younger members.
Ben played soccer with the Capital Area Soccer League from age 5 to 14.
Ben was confirmed in the faith at Hope Lutheran Church at age 12. He wrote an essay about his faith. He said Philippians 4:13 helps him through daily challenges and that once in a lifetime accident.
