Quilt Square

Created in honor of Carl Capps

My son, Carl LaVaughn Capps (Aka Carl Carl Carl) as we his family called him. I don’t even know why or when we started calling him that. He was killed on a Saturday evening in September, riding his motorcycle in Durham, NC, where he lived. He loved riding and he loved his bike. The picture on the quilt square is Carl on his bike, the one he lost his life riding. He was a fun, loving, kind young man, always making jokes. I miss him terribly, but he died doing what he loved, riding his bike.  “RIH” my son. Mama Loves You.
