Quilt Square

Created in honor of Cody Roberts

Cody was 19 years 6 months and 2 days old when he was killed in a car accident. He was a beautiful person from the inside out. He graduated from Wheatmore High School in June of 2015. He was so excited and proud. he loved his ole Ford truck, so we had to include a picture of it. He was a true country boy. He loved 4 wheeling, hunting, fishing, riding his dirt bike, and going mudding in his Ford. He loved playing basketball and spending all the time he could with his little niece, Kinley, his family, and friends. When he was born he weighed 9 lbs and 15 oz, which earned him the nickname Cody Bear which is the little bear on his square. Myself and his sister, Megan, are registered organ donors and weren’t surprised to see the little red heart on his license – which is the heart on his square. It represents his heart that was so full of love, kindness, and giving. We have been proud of Cody his entire life and when we received his donor medal, it filled us with such pride that this precious, loving, giving young man even in death was still giving. His love lives in us forever and his gift of life gives others a chance to live.
