Together. Saving Lives.

Quilt Square

Created in honor of Dorcus Borland

My 92 year old Mom was the most loving, kind, caring person I ever knew. She was a giver of garden vegetables and flowers while she was alive. Even in death she gave skin and tissue to help others. My brother, her only son, died in a fire. She would have loved that her skin grafts will help burn patients. She was truly a treasure. She loved to garden, especially tomatoes! She loved animals and kept the bird feeders full. She adored our two dogs, Petey and Romeo, and often had them in her lap. A strong Christian lady whose faith saw her through many heartbreaks. She attended Gardner Webb University on scholarship and was extremely bright.

She was married to my wonderful father for 35 years until his death. They are together once more in Glory as is my brother. The last 22 years of her life she lived with me and was truly a blessing.
