A strong advocate for the young, elderly, and persons with disabilities, she worked actively with the Summit Civitan Club and N.A.M.Q, where she held local and state positions.  Karina volunteered at the Lutheran Home and Rowan Public Library, where she was a storyteller.  Karina received several awards for the hours she spent volunteering to help others.

Karina professed her faith and accepted Christ at an early age and shared her testimonies and joy of the Lord with everyone she met.  She prayed, read scripture, and invited others to worship.
She enjoyed all kinds of music.  Karina’s favorite song was “Victory is Mine”.

Karina loved her family, church, and community.  She was a beautiful young lady with an unselfish giving spirit and a radiant smile.  On January 18, 2011, Karina became a donor to improve the lives of others.  Even in death, she continued to give.
