Landon Carter Munn: A Legacy of Love

On July 11, 2022, Landon Carter Munn left an enduring legacy that extended far beyond his time on Earth.

“My 17-year-old son Landon is my forever ‘hero,’” said his mother, Diana Munn. “He was in a terrible car accident on the 10th of July where he never regained consciousness. He overcorrected going off the road, causing his Tahoe to roll multiple times down an embankment. He had two of his best friends with him, but thankfully they walked away with minor injuries.”

While Landon’s journey ended abruptly, his story was far from over. Landon’s family, grieving the loss of their beloved son, found solace and purpose in the idea of extending his impact through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

“When he passed away, we decided to donate his beautiful eyes and tissue to help save someone else,” said Munn. “Landon always helped his friends, day or night, so we decided to let him continue to help others by donating what we could. I hope whoever can see today because of him feels his love of life.”

As a junior firefighter, Landon had an unwavering desire to help others in the future. In a poignant twist of fate, the spirit of service that defined his life would continue after his passing.

“Landon was loved by so many and had an infectious personality,” said Munn. “He had friends everywhere he went. He was such a loving and caring person and was always there for his friends and family. I hope some of these traits are carried on with the people he helped.”

One tissue donor can heal the lives of more than 75 people. Together, we can make a difference. Register your decision here: https://bit.ly/3hmiWKE
