At a recent Town Hall Meeting, Danielle Bumarch, our President and CEO, shared the news that she will retire in June 2026. The emotional announcement brought many to tears, a testament to the incredible impact she has had over her decades-long career at HonorBridge.
Since joining the organization in 1999, Danielle has been integral to our mission to honor donors, support their families, and save as many lives as possible through donation. During her tenure, we achieved incredible milestones; in 2024 alone, we recovered a historic 2,818 tissues and more than 1,200 organs, saving 815 lives. We also overcame many challenges under Danielle’s leadership, like navigating the unknown days of Covid and adapting to brand new technologies and procedures like NRP. Over the past 10 years as CEO, she has led us to continuous record-breaking growth, increasing the number of lives saved through donation by 63%.
Danielle has fostered a vibrant culture at HonorBridge rooted in a true neighborly spirit; everyone at HonorBridge strives to make a life-changing difference in our community. True to her nature, Danielle has allowed ample time to ensure our mission is left in good hands and will assist the board in its nationwide search for her successor.
As Danielle prepares for a well-deserved retirement, we express our deepest thanks to her for leading our organization and always striving to do the “next right thing.” We look forward to building upon the legacy she leaves behind, confident in HonorBridge’s continued trajectory of excellence.
Please join us in celebrating Danielle’s remarkable career and wishing her joy in her next chapter.
