Creating Life-Saving Partnerships
Do you want to raise awareness for donation and transplantation? Want to honor your loved one by sharing their donation story? Looking for a way to encourage others to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors? If so, you would be perfect for our volunteer program, HonorBridge Advocates!
We have several kinds of opportunities so you can find what works for you: Advocates for Life, DMV Ambassadors, and Administrative Assistants.
Advocates for Life
Anyone with a direct connection to donation (recipients, donor family members, those waiting, caregivers, etc.) looking for a meaningful, self-driven opportunity to make a significant impact in their communities are encouraged to join this program. Advocates for Life are responsible for identifying events, speaking engagements, donor drives and other opportunities to educate about donation in their community throughout the year and working those events. Additionally, you may be asked to help at other events or speaking engagements. You will receive online training for this volunteer position, and you will need to pass a background check to qualify to be an Advocate for Life.
DMV Ambassadors
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Donate Life North Carolina’s DMV Ambassador Program! If you’re interested in working directly with the DMVs, please click here to access all the information you need to join their program.
Administrative Assistants
Anyone interested in helping with occasional office work such as mailings, filing, event prep, etc. can register as an Admin Assistant. These needs don’t come up with any regularity but those who can assist when they arise are greatly appreciated. This is a terrific opportunity for those without a direct connection to donation to help, but anyone interested is invited to register. No training or background check required. Must be 16 or older, able to get to and from HonorBridge office, and be able to work without supervision.
