Charles Medlin was my father. He was someone I have always wanted to make proud. The quilt square is just a small representation of who he was. He would do anything to help another. He would stop and check on people in an accident. We knew from how much he helped people he would want to be a donor. My father has always been there for me. Whenever I called, he answered. He has grandchildren. I still remember how happy he was when they were born. He beamed and told everybody about them. He was a very honorable, trustworthy, honest, hardworking man. He was someone we could all aspire to be liked. My world is quite a bit darker without him in it.
