Quilt Square

Created in honor of Barbara Coy

Barb was a kind soul that never met a stranger. Graduating from nursing school in 1978, her career of loving and nurturing others began. She nursed mostly those less fortunate while following her husband around his Air Force career, landing in Wilmington in 1991. It is there she worked home health, health department, WHAT, & Planned Parenthood. When her first granddaughter was born, she said she was cute as a ladybug and hence she collected everything ladybug. Her brother-in-law and sister were both kidney recipients, so it was fitting that Barbara was able to fill her need to be a donor for others. May her presence in heaven guide us all!
