Quilt Square

Created in honor of Matthew Pearce

Matthew was born and raised in CT. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After 12 years of dedicated service, including three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and proudly serving as Sergeant, Matthew was honorably discharged in 2014. At this time Matthew made his residence in NC. Matthew was a well rounded person and could spark up a conversation with anyone on current events. He would drop anything he was doing to help family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, politics, and sports of all kinds, but mostly he enjoyed being a loving husband to his wife, Brittney, and an awesome father to his son, Jack, who was 15 months old at the time of his dad’s passing from a brain aneurysm. Matthew touched many people’s lives in his short time here with us. As the quilt square depicts, Matthew will live on forever in the hearts of his family and many friends who love and miss him beyond measure.
