Quilt Square

Created in honor of Otis King Jr.

Our father: He was a family man. He loved his wife, she passed 6 months before him. He was broken-hearted. His first job was at Wrights Machinery. Then he worked at Basenight and Sons in Chapel Hill. Then he had his own key business, AOK Lockservice. He had a passion for UNC basketball, Bull City Street Rod Association, Collector of old cars, model cars, antiques, wrestling, bowling, woodworking and building. In his younger days, he was a cook at Broughton Hospital in Morganton, NC. He was also a school bus driver. Family trips: Mountains, Vale, NC. He was 1 of 8 children born. Camping, fishing, Sliding Rock, fish camphouse gatherings, Tweetsie Railroad, Rock City, Ruby Falls, swinging bridge, Grandfather Mountain, Santa Land, Easter egg fight, Sugar Hill. Beach trips: Atlantic Beach, pier fishing, Fort Macon, Kicking Machine (New Bern), Peanut Man waving in Raleigh. Lake Trips: Little Washington, White Lake (Our childhood memories will never go away). We love and miss you, dad and mom, Sharyn, Teresa, and Tony.
