The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership of Durham hosted its 43rd Annual Key Volunteer of the Year and Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards Luncheon on Monday, April 18, 2016. This year, 75 nominees were chosen by 45 agencies as “Key” Volunteers. Volunteers recognized by each agency represent the hard work and tireless hours given back to the community through volunteer efforts.
This year, HonorBridge’s Friends for Life Ambassador, Anthony Mason, was awarded the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award as well as the highly competitive Key Volunteer Award for his work in raising awareness about the tremendous need for more registered organ, eye and tissue donors across North Carolina.
