Quilt Square

Created in honor of James Michael Johnson

My son Michael ran cross country (XC) in high school and college. Black and gold were the colors for the Sequoyah HS Chiefs and also for the Kennesaw State University Owls. This photo was taken in October 2010 when Michael was crossing the finishline (1st place) at an “XTERRA” race in GA. He moved to NC in January 2011 to attend Winston-Salem State university. Michael received a posthumous Doctor of Physical Therapy degree December 2013. WSSU’s Dept. of PT held its 1st Annual Let’s Move 5k in May 2014. The 5k was in Memory of Michael!
