John was a devoted husband and father of four children and three grandchildren. He was a retired veteran and Lt Colonel of the Army. He had a love of nature, animals, and their well being; love of farming (open air and its concern). He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. After retirement from federal inspection where he was Vet in Charge for over 30 years, he followed his love to see things grow by farming on a small farm until his death.
