Our daughter, Kim Finney, was a very talented and dedicated artist. Kim showed an interest and passion for drawing at a very young age and continued throughout her lifetime. She studied art and graphic arts in college. Kim specialized in pen and pencil drawings.

The wolf drawing featured in the quilt block is one of Kim’s. She especially liked drawing wild animals and to Kim, the wolf symbolized loyalty, family and friendship. Kim was fiercely protective of and loyal to her family and friends.

Kim’s favorite color was orange, thus the printing color of the words and the border around the quilt block.

We dedicate this quilt block to our daughter.
