2026 HonorBridge Donor Family Tribute

HonorBridge proudly honors the generous and inspiring individuals who have said ‘yes’ to donation. Each year, thousands of men, women, and children across the country receive a renewed opportunity for life and good health because someone made the decision to donate. We honor, celebrate, and recognize donor families and their loved ones for their enormous faith, generosity, and courage during our annual Donor Family Tribute.
Donor Family Tribute: In-Person
In-Person: You are invited to join us for the Donor Family Tribute program in Chapel Hill, NC, on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The program will be held from 2:00–4:30 pm, and families will share in a meaningful afternoon of watching the Tribute Video, connecting with other donor families, viewing donor family quilts, enjoying refreshments, and participating in memory-making activities.
Registration Deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026.
Donor Family Tribute: Virtual
The Tribute Video will be released at 2pm on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The video is around 30 minutes in length and features a message from President and CEO Kimberly Koontz, the donor photos, and the quilt slideshow. It will continue to be available to view at any time following this release date and time, and you are welcome to share it with family and friends.

Tribute Video
Photo Submission
We invite each family to honor their loved one by submitting up to three photos to be featured in our Tribute Video. Additionally, we welcome you to share descriptive words about your loved one, helping us all to get to know them better. Examples include: father, grandmother, veteran, NASCAR enthusiast, and more.
The deadline for submitting photos for the Donor Family Tribute is September 11, 2026. You will be asked to submit photos when you register for the event.
Donor Quilts
Donor Quilts
Donor families are invited to decorate a fabric square in honor of their loved one. Your quilt square, combined with those of other donor families, will be assembled to make a donor family quilt. These quilts are displayed at memorial services, special events, and various educational programs. The 2026 Donor Family Tribute will present our newest quilt, made up of quilt squares provided prior to April. The quilt squares that are received now through the end of this year will be included in our 2027 quilts and will be presented at the 2027 Donor Family Tribute.
The deadline for submitting quilt squares for the 2027 Donor Family Tribute is Dec. 31, 2026.
