Melinda Locklear Promoted to Chief Quality and Information Officer at HonorBridge

HonorBridge has promoted Melinda Locklear to the position of Chief Quality and Information Officer. In her new position, Locklear will continue to be responsible for the Quality Improvement and Regulatory Compliance programs and for data reporting and analysis, both internal and external. In addition, she will oversee the conceptualization, evaluation, and implementation of Information Systems/Technology strategies, plans and priorities, in support of HonorBridge’s Strategic Plan. One first order of business, in her new role, is the recruitment of a new Director of Information Systems.

The expertise she has gained through project management of the implementation of electronic donor records and her oversight of data reporting along with her commitment to excellent service make her a natural fit to lead our Information Systems/Technology strategies,” said HonorBridge’s President/CEO Danielle Bumarch, RN, JD.

Locklear joined HonorBridge in 2003 as Vice-President of Quality, with expanding responsibilities through the years. During her tenure, she built HonorBridge’s Quality Management System, fully supporting compliance across the regulatory, accreditation, and partners spectrums. In addition, she built a Quality Improvement System, focused on total integration throughout the organization, utilizing Lean tools and strategies underpinned by quantitative data collection and analysis. Furthermore, she served as Project Manager in the adoption and integration of TrueNorth for electronic referral, organ donor, and tissue donor records which was later expanded to include hospital services, family services, and quality approval.

Locklear has been an actively involved, on a national level, by serving in various capacities and committees as evidenced by her roles in the following positions:

  • Multiple presentations at AOPO QI and IT Council Meetings and AOPO Annual Meetings

Locklear received a Bachelor of Chemistry from Salem College and a Master of Science in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Wake Forest University.
